1. Eligibility: Open to individuals who are legal residents of the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia, who are age 18 or older as of the date of entry and who create a free account on Hanes.com and/or sign on to their accounts at Hanes.com. Persons who are immediate family members (parents, children, spouse, siblings) of, or live in the same household as, employees or directors, or are themselves employees or directors, of Hanesbrands Inc, or their subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible to participate. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules. Hanesbrands Inc., 1000 East Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 is the Sponsor of the Giveaway.
2. Timing: The Giveaway begins on March 20, 2008, at 12:00:01 a.m. ET and ends on April 2, 2008 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
3. To Enter: No purchase necessary. Each eligible individual who creates a free account on the Hanes.com web site will be automatically entered into that day’s drawing. Each eligible person who visits the Hanes.com website and signs in using his or her free account will be automatically entered into that day’s drawing. Limit one entry per person per day. Limit one free account per person. Registration for free account is subject to the terms and conditions stated in the terms of use and the free registration information. Automatic entries do not carry over from one day to the next and will only be included in that particular day’s drawing./FONT>
4. Prizes: One winner will be selected each day in a random drawing from among the automatic entries received during the previous day. For example, on March 21, 2008, one winner will be selected from among all automatic entries received between 12:00:01 a.m. and 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 20. On March 22, 2008, one winner will be selected from among the automatic entries created between 12:00:01 a.m. and 11:11:59 p.m. ET on March 21, and so forth. A total of fourteen (14) winners will be selected. Each winner will receive a $100 gift certificate for use at Hanes.com. Gift certificate expires December 31, 2008 and must be used in a single transaction to purchase in stock merchandise over the phone with a Hanes.com Customer Service Representative. Colors, styles and sizes subject to availability. Potential winners will be notified via email at the e-mail account used to create the free registration on Hanes.com, and may be required to return a declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release via e-mail in order to claim prize. If potential winner is a minor in his or her state of residence, the prize claim form must be signed by a parent or guardian and the prize will be awarded in the name of the parent of guardian. If prize notifications are returned as undeliverable, or if potential winners do not respond with requested information or documentation within time frame specified, potential winners will be disqualified and alternate winners selected from among remaining eligible entries for that day. Gift certificates will be mailed to the address provided in the registration account within four weeks from confirmation of claim forms. All applicable taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of winner. Limit one prize per person per e-mail address. No cash in lieu of prize or substitution of prize except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Returned prizes will not be awarded. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received each day.
For a list of the prize winners, send a self-addressed envelope, for receipt prior to April 5, 2008, to Hanes.com Gift Card Giveaway Winners List, Hanesbrands Inc., 1000 East Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of Winners' List.
5. Other Considerations: By accepting a prize, winners agree that the Sponsor, and those acting under its authority, may use winner's name and hometown for advertising and promotional purposes in perpetuity and in any media without further consideration, unless prohibited by law. BY ACCEPTING A PRIZE, THE WINNERS AGREE THAT THE SPONSOR, ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND ALL OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, AND PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRIZE RELATED ACTIVITY. The sweepstakes is void in all jurisdictions where prohibited.
6. Personal Data: Sponsor will only use data about entrants obtained from the account registration and sign-in process in accordance with our stated Privacy Policy. By creating a free account, entrant agrees to such use of the personal data, which will be kept at Sponsor's premises in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. At any time, you may obtain a summary of the Personal Information on record with Sponsor. You may request that Sponsor dispose of or update any or all Personal Information about you. To make any request described herein, send an email to consumer.care@hanesbrands.com or write to Hanes.com, Hanesbrands Inc., 1000 East Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. When contacting us, please be sure to provide us with your exact name, address, telephone number and/or email address in order to be sure we handle your request correctly.
7. Internet Viewing: The Giveaway is intended for viewing only in the United States and shall only be construed and evaluated according to U.S. law. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GIVEAWAY MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Miscellaneous: All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed made by the individual whose name is on the free account registration at Hanes.com. If for any reason the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, human error or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Giveaway, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway, and to select winners from among the eligible entries received during the Giveaway prior to such event. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, automatic entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Giveaway.
