Works in the length, but the waist is HUGE
I used to buy these for my son all the time. Loved them. I liked that they didn't have a lot of writing on them, just plain sweats. They were a great price and worked well for him. About three years ago, the style changed. The waist was huge on him! I will say, he's tall for his age and slim, but they used to fit fine and suddenly, they didn't. Like they stopped using as much elastic in the waist of something. I finally have bought them again, but have had to pin them with safety pins to make them small enough for his waist.

size different online than in store
Overall I love them,and so does he especially on those cold winter mornings when he gets on the bus for school. The only thing the size online is different than in the stores. Online size XL is 16-18, in the stores it's 14-16. Which one is it?

Sizing is wrong
I bought these for my son who is on the upper scale of sizing for 4/5 XS. He is 5yrs old with a 21.5 inch waist and weighs 45lbs. The length was fine, the waist was waaay too big. Hanes does not offer a smaller size in these sweat pants which is unfortunate because the quality is great for the price ( ie: stitching ) I loved the pockets. Really too bad that I have to return these.
