Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kathie Need these undies!
I like Hanes string bikinis alot, but not as much as Fruit of the Loom's string bikini's, and here's why. I have a nerve (neuropathy# condition, they group it under something called Vulvodynia. My groin area is hyper-sensitive to any touch and trying to wear underwear for the last, almost 7 years, has been torture. I finally found string bikini's by Fruit of the Loom and I could manage w/those. They don't have as much material as Hanes. They were lighter weight; cheaper quality. Which is what I like for this condition. However, it looks like they have stopped making them:# I have tried Hanes' String Bikinis also, and they are not too bad, just more material. I need them roomy but I can't seem to find the next size up #size 10#. Also, I need cotton undies. Wore Hanes high cut cotton undies for many years before this condition. My Mom did and still does. Hanes are better quality that Fruit of Loom and really good quality for the price. Please please please keep making the cotton string bikinis! Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by kitkat5 The elastic is uncomfortable
I just bought a pack of these and I thought I would be more pleased with the style and fit. These run a big snug and the elastic around the waist is so uncomfortable that it irritates my hips. If the "string" was made from a softer material I would totally recommend these, but unfortunately it makes it almost unbearable to wear.

Hanes String Bikinis fit great, look great, come in wonderful colors and are very comfortable. I've washed them a couple of times and they haven't shrunk yet. I highly recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Lily They work very well for me
I find string bikinis work well because of the string sides, which adapt to the body. (If you got the right size, that is.) I have a painful side that can't stand the slightest binding, so these lowcut strings were a godsend, and they are what I wear daily unless I need to wear a nude pair. The back coverage on these is great, I don't have creep like from panties that don't cover properly, and there's little panty line unless my pants are tight fitting. I have some I bought four years ago, but they are lasting great because although I often wash them in a normal washer (I need to go back to using a net bag), I almost never throw them in the dryer.
Gaudy is a kind word for the color/pattern selection. I don't want patterns in the first place, and I look for as much of my underwear as possible in colors that won't show through, so I buy at the store not online. Hanes should consider flesh tones and different fabric selections.
