      Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Huge Disappointment I have been avid Hanes customer for many years. I used to buy underware, and crew socks. I finally had to replace crew socks that I had purchased five years ago. (No profit for Hanes throughout those years. So they decided to come out with a new crew sock. Instead, they create this blend that consists of polyester. Polyester and Nylon do not breath. There for your feet will sweat. These socks are no longer made of one hundred percent cotton. Which you have to treat these socks with kit gloves. You can not use chlorine bleach because it will make them pill and turn yellow. Second, if you were to put them in the dryer on high, they will pill ever further. No one wants to threat socks that get dirty as a delicate garment. So I returned all three packages. I want one hundred percent cotton socks, period!

      What happened to the Quality of this sock? I have been buying them for my husband and Dad for years. They now wear out quickly, get pills all over them and barely have any "Cushion". I hate to see a good product go downhill.

      I've ordered several pairs of grey cushion crew socks lately, all seem to be the "new" performance sock. Rubbery/stretchy material. They are to tight for my foot, cut off circulation, uncomfortable. Does Hanes still produce a basic grey cotton sock?
